I can provide manual driving lessons in Driffield, Beverley and surrounding areas.
I am a driving enthusiast with a long term passion for safe and competent driving on our roads. I have experienced many different vehicle types, styles of driving and approaches to road safety over my different careers and I have an eye for what good driving looks like.
Prior to becoming a driving instructor I was in the British Army for over 20 years but have now settled in East Yorkshire, having 'come home' as I was born and brought up in York. I live with my wife who is a teacher in a local school and my two boys who are also still in school so I consider myself local, I know and understand the area, the people and what makes East Yorkshire folk tick! In my spare time I am still active with the Army Reserve, but also enjoy maintaining and tinkering with cars old and new! I am also a reluctant DIY-er but needs must when there are jobs to do around the house.
I wanted to become a driving instructor because I wanted a job with real satisfaction where I can guide someone from novice through to qualified and confident driver. I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LDC System allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson as satisfying and productive as possible, the LDC System just helps me to do this more effectively. I have been training with LDC using the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I aim for will be of the highest standard.
My lessons will be conducted in a respectful, friendly and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease during lessons in order for them to progress with their learning at their own pace. Learning to drive with me, we will be a team for the duration of your training journey as we make our way through the various skills you will need to master and the knowledge you will need to gain, resulting in safe and competent motoring.
